It is known for implementing many of the rules and regulations of boxing organizations today. The World Boxing Association has put on many fights featuring well-known past fighters, including Muhammed Ali and Joe Louis, as well as current fighter Andre Ward.
World Boxing Organization

It made a name for itself organizing fights for major boxers such as Oscar De La Hoya, Marco Antonio Barrera and Manny Pacquiao.
World Boxing Council
The World Boxing Council was organized by 11 countries in 1963 in order to create an international boxing organization that would unite boxing federations around the world under one banner. The World Boxing Council currently has 161 member countries with nine regional governing bodies, including the North American Boxing Federation and the African Boxing Council. It is known for putting together fights with famous boxers such as Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquio. It is also known for being the strongest supporter of women's boxing.
