Famous Female Boxers

The International Boxing Federation is a major, internationally-recognized organization that sanctions professional boxing matches. Here, we take a look at several women who are highly rated by the organization and their peers.

Amanda Serrano

Serrano is a women's professional boxer who has won the International Boxing Federation Female Super Featherweight Title and was Boxing 360's first world champion. She was born on December 9th, 1988, in Bronx, New York. Her sister Cindy is also a professional boxer, and they both train with Jordan Maldonado.

Hollie Dunaway

Hollie "Hot Stuff" Dunaway was born on October 18th, 1984, and grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She is a world-class female professional boxer that is based out of St. Louis, Missouri and fights in four different weight divisions. Her first fight was in February of 2003, and since then, she has won a number of titles, including the WIBA Minimumweight Title and the NABF Flyweight Title.

Yesica Bopp

Yesica "Tuti" Bopp, born on April 11th, 1984, is from Villa Dominico, Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is the winner of the interim WBA Female Light Flyweight Title and the WBO Female Light Flyweight Title, and is ranked the top female minimumweight fighter in the world.

Susianna Kentikian

Susianna is considered the top female fighter in her weight class, and has become a celebrity in Germany. Born on September 11th, 1987, the Armenian professional boxer moved to Germany as a child and started boxing at the age of 12. She turned professional in 2005 and won her first championship fight in February of 2007. She has held titles from the WBA, the WBO, and the WIBF.

There are a number of other female professional boxers who have dominated in the sport, and they have all shown women's boxing as something for others to take seriously. These are just a few good examples of the women now showing the world what they can do.
